Job Title: Assistant Manager

Role and Responsibilities:

This role has two main parts –

  • Shop Assistant Manager including Shoe Fitting - measuring and fitting shoes.
  • Social Media Content Creator

You will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging environment for our customers. You must be a quick learner, be able to think on your feet and be self motivated.  Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Customer Engagement:
  • Greet customers warmly upon entry and actively participate in the selling process.
  • Provide excellent customer service by offering assistance and advice on shoe selection.
  • Build rapport with customers to create a positive shopping experience.
  1. Shoe Fitting and Measurement:
  • Measure customers' feet accurately to determine the correct shoe size.
  • Assist customers in trying on and fitting shoes, ensuring comfort and satisfaction.
  1. Content Creation:
  • Create engaging and visually appealing content for various social media platforms, including text, image, and video content.
  • Schedule and publish content across social media channels.
  • Monitor posting schedules and ensure timely and consistent updates.
  1. Store Maintenance:
  • Keep the shop floor clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Tidy the stockroom regularly to ensure an efficient and well-organized storage space.
  • Dust shelves, display items, and perform regular cleaning tasks to maintain a welcoming retail area.
  1. Community Engagement
  • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Engage with the online community by responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  1. Stock Management:
  • Log incoming stock and update inventory records.
  • Ensure adequate stock is on display and restock as necessary to meet customer demand.

Requirements:

  1. Personal Attributes:
  • Confident and outgoing personality, able to interact with people of all ages.
  • Natural ability to put both children and parents at ease.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to cover holidays and sickness.
  1. Communication Skills:
  • Excellent command of the English language to effectively communicate with all customers in all forms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to provide friendly and helpful customer service.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging and shareable content.
  1. Social Media Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with online audiences.
  1. Physical Demands:

This is a physically demanding role, as the shoe fitting process involves bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs.

Hours

The working day is 0930-1700 and cover a 2 week shift pattern.

Week 1 – Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday

Week 2 – Monday, Wednesday and Thursday

Salary

Negotiable depending on experience.
